The first issue in a series of four, Garvey! Issue 1 is a companion publication to Alvaro Barrington's show GARVEY: SEX LOVE NURTURING FAMALAY at Sadie Coles HQ in London. Referencing Jamaican-born political activist, publisher, journalist, and entrepreneur Marcus Garvey as well as Word Up! Magazine in equal parts, Garvey! explores Barrington’s relationship to London, New York and the Caribbean, with contributions from these communities. The magazine also features a fold out poster and hologram on the cover.
